Where the Pelicans Fly

Blue sky, tunes, waves
And passing on the strand

Wafting drapes of the oceans’
Luscious symphony

She sings for me tonight.

In a room far from the shoal
Where evening has already set

And where we may walk
Backs to the west

Passing passing,
yellow skies
and harmonies;

She sings for me again,
Comforting in my room

The blinds drawn,
The anxiety gone,

The memories safely visible
Like stones in my garden

Still hot from the afternoon,
As the sun is passing passing
For the moon,

Setting in the west
The tops of the clouds still
Kissed by her caress

She sang for me today
That sun, glorious, safely
Visible, passing arcs
Through the sky

On a shoal far away,
Where the pelicans fly.
